Tree Lighting

Friday, December 5th, 6pm

at Bowdoinham Town Hall

Join the community in singing holiday carols as the holiday tree is lit.


Bowdoinham Guild of Artisans Sale

Friday, December 5th, 6-8pm

Saturday, December 6th, 10am-3pm

at Bowdoinham Town Hall

Top quality fine arts including jewelry, pottery, fiber art, photography, prints and paintings all crafted by the members of the Bowdoinham Guild of Artisans will be on sale at this show which is now in its 11th year. Gift items from the Bowdoinham Library are also available.  Come enjoy the delicious food and great live music by some of Bowdoinham’s best while you shop. On Friday night, Ben Hunsberger and Kathleen McGee will be playing and Susan Brown, students and friends will join us Saturday morning. 


Christmas Open House

Friday, December 5th, 3-8pm

Saturday, December 6th, 9am-4pm

at 312 Millay Road

The Christmas Open House will be full of a variety of crafts from Maine Artisans. Come enjoy  a cup of warm mulled cider and enter a drawing for a basket of goodies!


Holiday Craft Fair

Saturday, December 6th, 10am-2pm

at Bowdoinham Community School

There will be lots happening so come join the fun with:

• Pictures with Santa (11am-1pm)

• Bake Sale and Cafe

• Holiday Village Display

• Kids Make-A-Craft with Merrymeeting Arts Center (11am-1pm)

EMS Craft Fair  

Saturday, December 6th, 9am-2pm

at Bowdoinham Fire Station, 57 Post Rd

Shop local crafts while you enjoy homemade refreshments.


Long Branch Holiday Show                         

Saturday, December 6th, 10am-3pm

at Long Branch School of Maine, 20 Main St

Local artist and crafters offer an amazing assortment of gifts for the holidays, whether you are looking for beauty, fun or function and you can soothe your holiday stress with a chair massage. Warm yourself with a cup of hot chocolate and a cookie. Noon to 2 pm sweeten your adventure with cookie decorating; enjoy all of the fun and none of the clean-up!


Woodworkers Show

Saturday, December 6th, 10am-3pm

at Merrymeeting Arts Center, 9 Main St

Come see the high quality craftsmanship of our fine woodworkers.


Pottery Studio Open House

at Merrymeeting Arts Center, 6 Main St

Explore the Arts Center’s new pottery studio while you shop for wonderful handmade gifts. Also, there while be a Make-a-Gift Workshop for Kids, 1-3pm.


Horse Wagon Rides

Saturday, December 6th, 10am-3pm

Rides will be available between the Community School, Town Hall, Main Street, Fire Station and Mailly Waterfront Park. Tips are appreciated.


Kid’s Holiday Storytime

Solsitice Surprise

This show is a comedy, very generally about the winter solstice, and is geared toward younger kids (toddler-age 8 or so) and is about 15 minutes long.


Pony Parade - Canceled

Saturday, December 6th, 12-2pm (times varies between locations)

The ponies will travel around the village spreading their holiday joy.


Polar Bear Dip

Saturday, December 6th, 3pm

at Mailly Waterfront Park

Come see the dippers take the plunge in the Cathance River.


Celebration of History: Shipbuilding & Seafaring Display

Saturday, December 6th 11am-3pm

at Jellerson, "the one-room Schoolhouse", 2 Centers Point Rd


Dance Party

Saturday, December 6th, 7-10pm

at Watersong Music, 9 Main St

Come enjoy great local music by Cilantro!  Pot luck supper with $5 suggested donation.
