The Biking, Walking & Paddling Committee has been working with Town Officials and Richard Rothe, a Transportation Planner to create the first Transportation Vision Statement for the Town. Rich Rothe is an accomplished planner who Bowdoinham is fortunately able to work with through our affiliation with Midcoast Council Business Development & Planning.
A Transportation Vision Statement allows the Town to be eligible for more funding opportunities including state aid and grant opportunities. The Transportation Vision Statement addresses multiple forms of transportation including: automobiles, bicycles, walking, horses, snowmobiles, and boats and states the Town's visions for those forms of transportation.
