Ice & Smelt Festival

Date:
Sat, 02/04/2017 - 10:00am - 5:00pm

MAC’s Pottery Project will be open 10am to 3pm for anyone wishing to play with clay.  Simple projects may include Valentine hearts or other gifts for the upcoming holiday.  Drop-ins at 11 Main Street, Bowdoinham are welcome.

Saturday afternoon activities will include the following:

A Frogtown Puppetry performance of “The Legend of the Banana Kid” at 2 p.m. at the Community School.  This wonderful troupe performed in Bowdoinham many years ago to the delight of a packed hall.  We welcome them back with a new show to delight children of all ages.

A “make your own puppets workshop” will take place from 3:00-4:30 at the Community School.  Anyone inspired by the puppet performance can stay to make a puppet to take home.

“Plan the Skatepark Mural” session.  It will be spring before we know it and the long awaited Skatepark will be built!  MAC received a grant from the Maine Arts Commission to support the creation of a mural on the fence surrounding the park.  Come work with artist, Manon Whittlesey, to decorate a paper skateboard and help plan the mural.  (Bowdoinham Community School from 3-5 p.m.)

Lego build.  Work alone or with your friends to build whatever you wish with our giant pile of Legos.  (Bowdoinham Community school from 3-5 p.m.)
