The Bowdoinham Guild of Artisans, a not-for-profit organization, is a group of local artists and craftspeople dedicated to fostering excellence in fine arts and crafts making them more significant in the cultural life of people in the local area. This will be accomplished by:

  • Encouraging excellence in fine arts and designer crafts
  • Nurturing creative growth through the interchange of ideas
  • Promoting forums for exhibits
  • Providing a means for the sale of works of art and designer crafts

Membership is open to all who share these interests. Those seeking membership must be at least 18 years old and meet all the guild’s requirements.

Jury Requirements

Membership will be based on the decision of the jurying committee. Our objective, as a guild, is to accept new members based on work of sufficient quality, aesthetics, design, and intent. The jurying committee will carefully review all submissions.

The committee will want to review at least two examples of your work as well as any additional information you can provide to help assess your general line of art work.

You will be notified of the committee’s decision. If your work is accepted, you will become a member of the Bowdoinham Guild of Artisans and be able to exhibit your work at Guild shows and participate in Guild meetings.
