07/03/2019: Dr. Teel is coming to Bowdoinham on Wednesday, July 10th at 6pm to talk about this program. It will be held at the Town Hall. Dr. Teel graduated from Dartmouth College and the University of Vermont Medical College. He trained at the Family Medicine Residency at Lancaster General Hospital in Lancaster, PA and returned to Maine where he has been a family physician in private practice in Damariscotta since 1988. He has a certificate in geriatrics and has been a medical director and provided patient care at nursing homes and assisted living facilities.
07/03/2019: Summer Lunch Service Program Tuesday & Wednesday, 12-1pm June 25th - August 28th Bowdoinham Estates, Preble Road Beginning just after school gets out, this program provides a free lunch to any child under the age of 18 and an accompanying adult. We’re thrilled to be able to offer a variety of fun activities during the meals this year, as well as a sharing-table loaded with local produce for families to take home at no cost.
07/03/2019: Bryce Muir’s Local Myths sculpture collection was generously donated to MAC by Peggy and Seth Muir. There are twelve sculptures remaining in the collection (four others were sold to private owners years ago). MAC will be featuring one sculpture a year as a tribute to Bryce, and a celebration of this outstanding wood sculpture collection. The highlighted sculpture will be a focus of our programming throughout the year, and the subject of each year’s Community Art Show.
07/03/2019: Maine lore has it that if you don’t lock your car during the months of July and August you’re apt to come out and find it full of zucchini! Zucchini plants almost always produce more zucchinis than anyone knows what to do with. This year the Merrymeeting Arts Center is offering a creative solution to the question of what to do with all those zucchinis, especially the huge, overgrown ones: Turn them into racing zucchinis and enter them in the 1st Annual Zucchini Races at Celebrate Bowdoinham at 11am, on September 14th!
07/03/2019: The Clothes Closet will be switching over to fall/winter clothes beginning in August. Winter coats will be available in September. The Clothes Closet is open on Wednesdays from 3:30-6pm. Donations of clean clothes in good condition can be dropped off during those hours. Anyone is welcome to “shop” at the Clothes Closet - it is open to anyone regardless of need. The clothes are free, but donations are welcome and help with expenses. The Clothes Closet is located at the Nazarene Church (in the house behind the church).
07/03/2019: A community favorite, the Chicken Run is back this year! During Celebrate Bowdoinham the Kids’ 1-mile Fun Run will begin at 5:30pm followed by the Chicken Run 5K at 6:00pm!  All proceeds from this event support the Bowdoinham Community School. Learn More and Sign Up 
07/02/2019: Celebrate Bowdoinham is right around the corner and there are several opportunities for you to get involved, promote your business and help support this community event. Be a Vendor – You can sell your goods/services or just have informational booth to promote your business.  Participant Applications and Instructions are now available and are due by August 30th.

06/28/2019: The Select Board is asking residents to provide input on the next town manager. What attributes do you believe the next manager should have?
