09/19/2023 : The Town of Bowdoinham is currently seeking qualified applicants for an on-call snowplow operator. The successful candidate must hold a valid Maine CDL license and be able to work long hours and be available during all winter storms. Previous plowing experience preferred. Successful applicant must pass pre-employment drug and alcohol testing.  Wages are negotiable based on qualifications.

09/05/2023 : The Town of Bowdoinham is currently seeking a qualified applicant for the full-time position of Public Works Driver/Operator.  This position is responsible for snow removal and sanding/salting operations, road, sidewalk and drainage construction and maintenance, park and cemetery maintenance, vehicle maintenance and other duties as assigned.  Preference will be given to applicants that hold a valid Class A or B CDL with a clean driving record.  The Town offers a competitive wage based on qualifications and experience and an excellent benefits package.  Successful applica

07/24/2023 : Property Tax Stabilization for Senior Citizens, also known as the Property Tax Stabilization Program (the “Program”), is a State program that allows certain senior-citizen residents to stabilize, or freeze, the property taxes on their homestead. As a result of recent changes in the law, the Tax Stabilization Program will only apply to the property tax year beginning April 1, 2023 (applications were due December 1, 2022).
06/20/2023 : The Town of Bowdoinham is seeking a highly qualified candidate (or company) to fill the position of Assessor’s Agent. This position is for approximately 16 hours per week and involves administrative work in the office and fieldwork. The Assessor is required to exercise considerable independent judgment in administering the assessment program within general policy guidelines and is subject to state laws and regulations, stated in (Title 36, M.R.S.A).
06/16/2023 : As many people in town have now heard there are several structural issues, some critical, that need to be addressed with our beloved Town Hall. The bond presented at the Town Meeting did not pass so in order to save this majestic historical building we need community members to step up and take action. The Town is looking for people who are interested in lending their talents and ideas to this preservation project to contact Nicole Briand, Town Manager at townmanager@bowdoinham.com.
