11/03/2020: Merrymeeting Arts Center's Holiday Pop-Up 2020 is right around the corner and MAC is finalizing plans to open at the Town Hall on Saturday, Nov. 21st. The “store” will be open Thursdays to Sunday through December 20th. Last year over 30 vendors – artist, artisans and businesses – participated in this highly successful event. We know that Covid-19 limited opportunities for business this past summer and fall and we hope that creating an inviting and safe shopping experience will benefit shoppers and businesses alike.
11/03/2020: Join us in decorating for our Holiday Lights Contest! While many of our usual festivals and fairs have been canceled for this year, it’s a perfect year to go look at holiday lights. We’ll be offering prizes for: best decorations, best lights, most creative, best traditional and Facebook favorite. Voting will take place for the month of December; winners will be announced in January.
10/25/2020: Effective November 1st, the Town’s recycling operations will be closed at the Recycling Barn. We are working to re-open our recycling operations at a temporary location by December 1st. We will provide information about our temporary location as soon as we have the necessary details. Our curbside recycling pick-up will also be suspended as of November 1st until further notice.
10/21/2020: The Town of Bowdoinham will receive sealed bids marked “Higgins Replacement System” on the bid proposal form, at the Bowdoinham Town Office, 13 School Street, Bowdoinham Maine 04008 until 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, November 4, 2020 at which time bids will be opened and read. There will be a scheduled site visit on October 29, 2020 at 10:00 a.m. This is to ensure there is a full understanding of project.

10/02/2020: In-Person Absentee Voting will be available at the Town Office during regular business hours beginning Monday, October 5, 2020. (M,T,Th: 8:30am-4pm / W: 9am-6pm)
Requested Absentee Ballots will be mailed out beginning Monday, October 5, 2020.
Regular voting will be held at the Bowdoinham Community School on Tuesday, November 3, 2020, 8 AM - 8 PM. All social distancing protocols for COVID will be observed.
09/30/2020: The Town of Bowdoinham is accepting applications for an on call snow plow operator. The successful candidate must hold a valid Maine class B or C license. Also must be able to work long hours and be available during all winter storms. Applicant must submit to pre- employment drug and alcohol testing. Previous Plowing Experience preferred. Salary negotiable D.O.Q.
09/29/2020: The Town of Bowdoinham is currently seeking qualified applicants for the position of assistant town clerk/assistant tax collector at the Town Office. This position is for approximately 30 hours per week and will be responsible for collecting taxes and fees as well as issuing license, permits and motor vehicle registrations as well as other office duties.

09/22/2020: Residents who need to register to vote or update their address are encouraged to take care of this task in September, if possible. Due to anticipated crowds on election day, it is recommended these services be taken care of well in advance. Residents can go to the Town Office at 13 School Street on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday 8:30am – 4:00pm and Wednesday 9:00am – 6:00pm, to register to vote.
