08/26/2019: The Town of Bowdoinham has hired Thomas Woodin as its next Town Manager. Woodin will start September 9, filling the position left vacant by the resignation of William Post in July.

08/23/2019: On Saturday, September 21st from 9am to 4pm at the Meeting House located on the corner of River (Rt. 24) and Brown’s Point Roads the BHS will be hosting its annual Super Yard Sale! Last year the sale made over $6,000 and all proceeds go to Merrymeeting Hall, our up and coming Community Center!
08/23/2019: We’ve all done it - judged a book by its cover. Debuting Nov. 2nd through Nov. 30th, 2019, The Merrymeeting Arts Center in cooperation with the Bowdoinham Public Library, will be hosting a show all about books! From the artistry of book making to the beauty of book covers, illustrations and fonts to the telling of a story, books enrich our lives in many ways. This show will encourage you to stretch your mind and consider forms and uses for books other than simply reading them.

08/23/2019: The community of Bowdoinham is welcomed to attend a public design workshop to learn about portions of the Waterfront Redevelopment Master Plan going through technical design this fall. Join a general audience for a joint overview of the Master Plan and its subsequent site focus projects; the living shoreline stabilization and the hand-carry boat launch on September 17th at 6:30pm.
08/22/2019: Each year the Merrymeeting Arts Center hosts a show of art created by members of the greater Merrymeeting Bay community. The theme of each show centers around one of the sculptures in Bryce Muir’s Local Myths Collection. This year’s show is "The Heron".
08/22/2019: Celebrate Pie! When: Friday, September 13th, 2019      Drop-off is from 4:30-6pm and judging begins after 6pm.  Where: The Merrymeeting Hall Contest Rules:  Bakers may make either a sweet or savory pie  The pie MUST have at least 1 (one) crust
08/22/2019: The theme for this years parade is.... The Wild Wild West to The Roaring 20's! 1880 to 1930’s  There will be prizes awarded to the best decorated and on theme float, group or vehicle.  To join the parade please contact Missy Halsey at the Town Office (207) 666 - 5531  The Parade line up starts at the fire station at 9am.
