The Town of Bowdoinham is currently seeking qualified applicants for the part-time position of administrative assistant at the town office. This position is for generally 20 hours per week and will be responsible for clerical assistance to the Town Manager. The position is responsible for clerical and public work in collection of taxes and fees levied by the town. This includes the collection of automobile excise tax as a motor vehicle registration clerk, the handling of funds and participation in the issuance of various licenses including marriage, dog, hunting and fishing.
The desired candidate would be a graduate from an accredited high school and would have experience with bookkeeping and recording financial transactions. The desired candidate would have had one or more years’ experience working in municipal government, experience in answering phones and interacting with the general public.
