Guild of ArtisansBowdoinham Guild of Artisans will once again transform the Bowdoinham Town Hall into a magical space filled with lights, fragrant evergreens, music, and wonderful artisan creations.  Now in its 15th year, the show serves as an anchor to a full weekend of fun activities throughout Bowdoinham.

This year there will be 18 artisans showing and selling their work. Several new artisans are joining past favorites which will make the event a fresh experience.  A sample of the items for sale include:  pottery, jewelry, woodworking, stained glass, paintings, fine art photos, and fiber arts such as clothing, scarves, corded bowls, felting, and woolen mittens.  Kay Ahlers will also be on hand with her whimsical “fascinators.”  The popular Bowdoinham Public Library booth will have “book arts” available such as tree ornaments and blank notebooks/journals.  There will be many gift items that are affordably priced as well as more expensive fine art objects that might be the perfect addition to your own collection.  A special feature this year will be a gift wrapping service for a small fee that will benefit the Library.

The event is on Friday, December 6th, 6-8 pm, Saturday, December 7th, 10am-3pm and Sunday, December 8th from 10am-1pm.  Local musicians will be providing background music throughout the weekend.  A feast of light snacks and drinks will be on hand.

“The guild event has a homey, intimate feel where area neighbors can gather, enjoy the food, and view or purchase lovely items,” says Lynn Sternfels, BGA President.  “We are grateful to the musicians who join us every year and the local businesses that support us.”

All are welcome to come join in the holiday festivities and spirit.
