07/30/2020: Nomination papers will be available at the Town Office starting Monday, July 27, 2020 to Friday, September 4, 2020 for the following positions:        2 (two) Select Board Members, Assessor and Overseer of the Poor for a 3 (three year) term. Papers are to be picked up at the Town Office and are to be returned by Monday, September 4, 2020 at 4:00pm. The Municipal Election is November 3, 2020. 07/21/2020:   The Bowdoinham Public Works Department will be replacing several long culverts on Dingley Road on Thursday and Friday (7/23 & 7/24) of this week.  Due to the length of the culverts the road will have to be closed to through traffic between the hours of 7:30 AM to 2:00 PM.  There are access roads on each side of the construction so people will be able to get in and out unrestricted.  Thank you for your patience.
07/08/2020: We plan to start on Monday, August 3rd installing the smaller 18” culvert.  We anticipate a couple of days to get this culvert in.  We will set up message boards on the previous Monday, July 27th on either side of the project, one on route 24 in Bowdoinham and the other at route 197 in Richmond.  This will be to inform commuters of anticipated road closures throughout the project.

06/10/2020: Apple Creek Farm Offering:  The farm is a MOFGA certified organic farm.  They offer grass-fed beef, pasture-raised chicken, eggs, grass-fed goat & lamb and pasture-raised turkeys.  Value-added products include chicken liver pate, and bone broths.  They also sell sheepskins and cashmere goat hides.

We are Hiring:

The Town of Bowdoinham is accepting applications for an on call snow plow operator. The successful candidate must hold a valid Maine class B or C license. Also must be able to work long hours and be available during all winter storms. Applicant must submit to pre- employment drug and alcohol testing. Previous Plowing Experience preferred. Salary negotiable D.O.Q.   

The Town of Bowdoinham is currently seeking qualified applicants for the position of assistant town clerk/assistant tax collector at the Town Office.  This position is for approximately 30 hours per week and will be responsible for collecting taxes and fees as well as issuing license, permits and motor vehicle registrations as well as other office duties.
