The Annual Luke MacFadyen Edible Book Contest

Facility/Room
Town Hall

Event Location

13 School St

Cook, bake or arrange some kind of food that makes you think of a book, either because it looks like the book cover, represents the title, or makes a literary joke or pun.

This event is named after our dear friend Luke McFadyen. He was a co-founder of both the Bowdoinham Food Pantry and the Bowdoinham Farmers Market. He lovingly created and shared delicious food with the Bowdoinham community up until his death in January of this year.

The event is free and open to the public. Entries will be judged in two classes: ages 12 and younger, 13 and older.  To enter, call or email the library by April 3rd to register: 666-8405 or kcutko@bowdoinham.lib.me.us.

2-5 pm: Entries must be dropped off at the Town Hall
6 pm: Doors open to vote on your favorite edible books. Then we eat them!
