The Town will be partnering with Lincolnville Communications, Inc. (LCI) to apply for a ConnectME Infrastructure Grant this spring in hopes of bringing high-speed internet to the unserved areas of Bowdoinham. To make our best case to win the highly competitive ConnectME grant, we need to show that the service is wanted by residents. Residents can sign up for LCI’s internet service by submitting a signed pre-application with LCI. Residents who submit a signed pre-application will not be obligated for any payments unless we are selected for the ConnectME grant and not until LCI’s fiber optic broadband is connected directly to their home. To sign up for service, complete LCI's online Service Application. Your signature on this application only authorizes the LCI to begin the process of researching and arranging for service at your location. You are not financially obligated at this time. Some services included in this application may not be available in your area at this time. Once it has been determined that the service(s) can be provided, a Customer Service Representative will contact you by phone or email to answer any questions you may have and to verify that you would like to proceed.
LCI is a family owned business headquartered in Nobleboro, Maine with 50 employees. LCI has the largest “Fiber to the Home” network in Midcoast Maine, providing fiber optic broadband from Belfast to Bath. To date, LCI has successfully completed 12 ConnectME projects in the Midcoast. You can learn more about LCI at www.lcifiber.net.
To learn more about this project, please join us on Wednesday, May 15th at 6pm at the Bowdoinham Fire Station.
