The 47th Annual Plant Sale will go on!!!

As you may be aware,  a monkey wrench was thrown into our plans for the annual Bowdoinham Library Plant sale, but we have found a way to move forward with an online sale:

For 47 years the Bowdoinham Library has been selling both annuals and field grown perennials.  In all of those 47 years, the plants have been raised, tended, dug and potted by legions of volunteers.  This year, as we battle the COVID-19 pandemic, we cannot conduct our normal volunteer effort and sale while keeping volunteers and customers safe. Therefore we will be selling only annuals- flowers, vegetables and herb seedlings. The perennials will wait in the ground for their chance to shine in 2021!

How will this work, exactly?

You make your selections online, and pay for the plants with a credit card. The nursery will sort the plants and library volunteers will deliver them on May 16 and 17.  If you live in Bowdoinham, plants will be delivered right to your doorstep. If you live in a neighboring town, we will arrange a centralized drop off location.
