INVITATION TO BID - Waterfront Improvements Phase I

Bids shall be submitted in a sealed envelope or package with the type of bid clearly indicated on the outside:

The bids will be opened and read aloud at the Bowdoinham Town Office on February 28, 2023 at 2:00 p.m.
The project involves the installation of a new gravel access road, gravel parking areas, 12’ precast concrete plank boat launch ramp and associated paving, storm drainage, electrical conduits, and other sitework items at the Town’s new waterfront park at 8 River Road.

upon receipt of payment of $60.00 (nonrefundable) and an additional $150.00 (nonrefundable) shall be charged for paper documents if they are requested. The Documents may be examined at the Bowdoinham Town Office and the following locations:

All bidders must furnish the following:
1. A completed Bid Form.
2. Acknowledgement of Bid Amendments form (see Section 2-B)
3. Experience Record (see Section 2-E)
4. A list of all subcontractors to be utilized on the project.
5. A bid security in the amount of 5% of the total bid in the form of a Bid Bond or certified check, made out to the Town of Bowdoinham.

The successful bidder must furnish the following:
1. Certificate of Insurance (in accordance with Section 3, Article 26)
2. 100% Construction Performance Bond
3. 100% Construction Payment Bond

The Town of Bowdoinham will have thirty (30) calendar days within which to accept or reject any bid. In-water work for the installation of the boat launch is allowed between July 15 and September 30, 2023. All work shall be completed by November 10, 2023. Liquidated damages in the amount of $250 per day are contained in the Contract.

Town of Bowdoinham reserves the right to reject any and all bids and to waive any technical or legal deficiencies.
