We plan to start on Monday, August 3rd installing the smaller 18” culvert. We anticipate a couple of days to get this culvert in. We will set up message boards on the previous Monday, July 27th on either side of the project, one on route 24 in Bowdoinham and the other at route 197 in Richmond. This will be to inform commuters of anticipated road closures throughout the project.
Next, we’ll move to installing the south steel arch, then onto the north steel arch. Each steel arch should take approximately two weeks to install with a few added days for the gravel road work. All and all, we anticipate a six week window to complete all work, which will take us into mid-September. This will give us a two week cushion to the end of the month, if needed due to weather or any other unknowns.
We look forward to working with you and the town of Bowdoinham on this project.
