Age-Friendly Activities

                                                       Regularly Scheduled Events

Age Friendly Committee of Bowdoinham: The second Monday of the month from 1:30pm – 3:30pm.  Graduates Room, Coombs Building, 23 School St. Public welcomed.

Bridge:  This event is for experienced bridge players only.  Every Wednesday from 9:30am – noon, at the Fire Station. For further information or if you are interested in taking lessons, please contact Martha Cushing at 207-573-7447.  Based on the level of interest, classes may be scheduled in the future.

Cribbage: Everyone is invited for fun and informal games of cribbage, beginners welcomed.  Games are played every Thursday from 9:30am - noon, at the Fire Station. For further information, please contact Theresa Turgeon at 207-891-9386.

Line Dancing: Synchronized dancing to a variety of music: pop, rock, country, hip-hop, salsa, etc. There are dances for every ability and interest. It’s the perfect blend of physical and mental exercise, and it’s fun for all ages.  For June, dancing will be on the 1st and 3rd Tuesdays from 5:30–7:30 at the Merrymeeting Hall, 27 Main St. The first 30 minutes include teaching for beginners; the second hour is for non-beginners. For further information, please contact George Oliver at 207-666-3589.
