Ice & Smelt festival week with activities all week long!
Recreation Department:
The recreation fields, ice rink and sledding hill will be open for ice skating, sledding, and cross-country skiing (weather allowing). Ice skate and cross-country ski “loaners” will be available from the Town office.
Bowdoinham Public Library:
“Winter Storyland” a live Story Bridges event on Saturday, February 25th at Merrymeeting Hall. Story Telling 4 -5 pm with a Soup Supper from 5 – 7 pm by donation.
Merrymeeting Arts Center:
Will celebrate the vision of Mt. Ararat High School Senior, Addison Kennedy, in a mural exhibit reflecting what Bowdoinham means to our youngest artists. Opening Reception on February 17th, 6-8pm, will have refreshments and a chance to meet the exhibit creator and many of the young artists. Gallery is free to the public; donations are welcome.
Sing & Play Music Class:
Come and sings songs about fish and fishing!
Decorate a silk smelt or phytoplankton!
Channel your inner smelt with creative movement and puppetry!
This event is led by Susan Brown, and is perfect for pre-k to grade 2. It will be held in the Kendall Meeting Room on Saturday, February 18th from 11 - 12. This class is free, but is limited to 12 participants, so register early! www.BowdoinhamRec.com
Bowdoinham Food Pantry:
A take-out Soup Supper to benefit the Food Pantry. Saturday, February 18th from 4 – 6 pm at the Bowdoinham Food Pantry (9 Main St). Kick off Ice & Smelt Fest with a to-go quart of homemade soup, chowder or chili with Counterpoint Bread! By donation.

Open Art Gallery & Hot Beverage Warming Station (10AM – 4PM)
