Home Safety Checklist

With many residents wishing to remain in their own homes as they age, Bowdoinham’s Age Friendly Committee developed a Safety Checklist for residents and their families to use in assessing the safely of 8 areas within a home: bathroom, kitchen, bedroom, entrance, exterior, electrical, flooring, steps and seasonal considerations. The purpose of the self-assessment is to identify changes that can make life easier and reduce accidents and emergencies.
