Me, Myself & I: The Art of Self-Portraiture
Merrymeeting Arts Center is excited to join together with Merrymeeting Adult Education with another gallery exhibit! Self-portraits explore many purposes: they give insight into the art of one particular moment in time, they shed light onto the self-perception of the artists, and they also speak to creative innovations made possible through this self-reflective process. Me, Myself & I: The Art of Self-Portraiture, showcases how the genre engenders a wide variety of interpretations and artistic freedoms. We look forward to welcoming familiar friends and artists new to our gallery: Linda Murray, Howard Solomon, Jose Rodriguez Jr, Catherine Scanlon, Jennifer Linskey, Ed Higgins, Megan Franasiak, Andrew Edwards, Robin Brooks, Bill Stanton, and Jing Jing Lo Haven.
Opening Reception on Friday, March 31st 4:00-8:00pm with refreshments
Exhibit will be open one weekend only: April 1-2, 9am-2:00pm
The MAC gallery is free to the public; donations welcome
