03/02/2021: Bowdoinham Recreation T-Ball, Rookie Baseball, and Softball Registration
03/01/2021: The Comprehensive Planning Committee (CPC) is presently studying how to preserve one of Bowdoinham’s most important and fast-disappearing resources: its scenic rural views. We are asking for public input to identify the rural views that are most distinctive and what they would like to see the town focus on preserving. Scenic rural can be any rural views along roadway corridors, or areas of the town where open spaces still dominate. Specific viewsheds like the panoramic view of the bay from Bay Road and views from trails will be taken up in later studies.
02/24/2021: The Town of Bowdoinham seasonally posts Town roads in order to prevent damage from heavy truck traffic when the roads are "soft".  This occurs when the roads are partially thawed and the solid material under the road is wet.  With the recent warm weather and the forecast of above freezing temperatures for most of the extended ten day forecast, Town roads will be posted effective Friday, February 26th.     Please contact the Maine State Police for enforcement, 207-624-7076.
02/21/2021: The Town of Bowdoinham is currently seeking qualified applicants for the full-time position of Planning & Development Director. This is a professional and administrative position responsible for the planning, development, and implementation of the Town’s planning, economic and community development goals and objectives. This position works closely with the community, Town committees and community organizations to support Bowdoinham businesses, coordinate community events, create Town plans and manage projects. Work includes grant administration and budget management. This position is also responsible to maintaining the Town’s website and Facebook page and producing The Bowdoinham News.
02/16/2021: At a meeting on Tuesday evening, February 16, the Bowdoinham Select Board voted unanimously to hire Nicole Briand as the town’s next Town Manager. Briand, who has served as Bowdoinham’s Director of Planning & Development for 10 years, has served as Interim Town Manager since August 2020.

02/10/2021: The Maine Community Foundation’s Richard Ferrier Scholarship: offers financial assistance to Bowdoinham residents between the ages of 13 and 18 as of June 1, 2021, to pursue their artistic, academic, athletic and vocational or life’s passion outside of the traditional school environment. Eligible applicants must be residents of Bowdoinham who clearly demonstrate a need for financial assistance. Preference is for applicants who have resided in Bowdoinham for at least one year. Awards are not retroactive; the student’s program must start after June 1 of the application year.
02/08/2021: We are very excited to bring you The Ice & Smelt Festival this year! This year Ice & Smelt is going to be a week-long Festival, February 15th-20th. We have events that are going to be located throughout town, with the goal of getting you and your family outside for a safe winter festival! We are excited to offer programs sponsored by the Merrymeeting Arts Center, Bowdoinham Public Library, and the Recreation Department!
