03/15/2023: The Maine CDC has notified the Town Office of a reported case of Rabies in our town. The attached is information to help educate the community about rabies.
What should you do if you or your pet were exposed?
If you or your pet had contact with a wild animal or animal that you don’t know, follow the steps below to prevent rabies.
1. Wash the wound thoroughly with soap and water.

02/15/2023:
The Town of Bowdoinham seasonally posts Town roads in order to prevent damage from heavy truck traffic when the roads are "soft". This occurs when the roads are partially thawed and the solid material under the road is wet. With the recent warm weather and the forecast of above freezing temperatures for most of the extended ten day forecast, Town roads will be posted effective Thursday, February 16th.
Attached are the Maine Department of Transportation posted road regulations. Enforcement is done by the Maine State Police 207-624-7076

02/02/2023: Recycling will be closed on Saturday, February 4th due to the extreme cold temperatures.
01/31/2023: Due to the extreme low temperatures forecasted, the meeting room area of the Bowdoinham Fire Station will be opened to the public as a warming center on Saturday, February 4th from 8:00 am to 6:00 pm.
