01/21/2020: Lower Main Street will be closed to thru traffic from 11am on Friday, January 24th until 10pm on Saturday, January 25th for the Ice & Smelt Festival. Lower Main Street is he Town owned section of Main St between River Rd and Mailly Waterfront Park. The street will only be closed from the Credit Union entrance to the railroad tracks. The portion of the road between Three Robbers and the Masonic Hall will be open. Mailly Waterfront Park will be open, please use River Rd entrance.
01/10/2020: Maine Department of Environmental Protection is now accepting applications for a Small Community Grant to correct malfunctioning septic systems. If you or someone you know is having problems with their septic the program maybe able to help. The application must be submitted by the Municipality and the deadline is February 7th, 2020.

01/02/2020: Work continues to bring fiber optic internet to over 200 homes in the most rural portions of Bowdoinham that currently do not have access to high speed broadband. The Town of Bowdoinham and LCI Fiber Optic Network, with the assistance of a ConnectME grant, have partnered to tackle this large infrastructure project that will require that 25 miles of fiber optic cabling to be installed on over 700 telephone poles on the following roads:
01/02/2020: State Law requires all dogs six months and older to be licensed by January 1st, however there is a grace period of January 31st before a late fee is incurred. Neutered/Spayed Dog - $6.00 Not Neutered Dog - $11.00 After January 31st there is a $25.00 late fee.
11/13/2019: Age-Friendly Bowdoinham in conjunction with Bowdoinham Fire and Rescue Department will be distributing 5-gallon buckets of winter sand this winter. This program is designed for those residents that cannot pick up their own winter sand from the Town’s courtesy sand pile located at the entrance to the old Public Works property at the waterfront. Special thanks to Bowdoinham Hardware for providing the 5-gallon buckets to the Town for this program.
11/07/2019: The Fire Department needs your help with their Thanksgiving Pie Fundraiser! Pies (or other baked goods) are needed on Monday, November 25th. If you are able & willing to bake a pie in support of this great community fundraiser, please contact Firefighter Ken Chase at 666-3505.
10/22/2019: Lincolnville Communications, Inc. is in the process of securing all pole permits (over 700 poles!) and completing their final fiber build out design. They are planning on completing the fiber build out by the end of this year. LCI Customer Service Unit will begin contacting applicants in December to go over all details, discuss any additional cost (i.e., if fiber drop from pole to house is beyond the first 250 ft included in he $100 install fee) – and start setting up installs for January, February and March. We've not heard which roads they are planning on starting with, but understand
