01/04/2021: Friends of Merrymeeting Bay’s (FOMB) first presentation of their 24th annual Winter Speaker Series, Seabrook Nuclear Plant: Winds of Change?, features Doug Bogen, Executive Director of the Seacoast Anti-Pollution League. This event, FOMB’s first ever virtual meeting presentation will be held via Zoom and is accessible via a hyperlink at the top of the FOMB web page at www.fomb.org . The event takes place Wednesday January 13th at 7 pm and is co-sponsored by Peace Action Maine.

12/28/2020: State Law requires all dogs six months and older to be licensed by January 1st, however there is a grace period to January 31st before a late fee is incurred. Neutered/Spayed Dog - $6.00 Not Neutered Dog - $11.00 After January 31st there is a $25.00 late fee.
12/21/2020: December 24th Trash will be picked up on Christmas Eve Recycling will be closed on Christmas Eve December 31st Trash will be picked up on New Year's Eve
12/15/2020: The Bowdoinham Fire and rescue department will be distributing 5-gallon buckets of winter sand again. This program is for those residents that cannot pick up their own sand from the courtesy sand pile located by the yellow building at the old public works facility (8 River Rd).

12/08/2020: We are happy to announce that our Recycling Program will be reopening Thursday, December 10th, at the Public Works Facility, 121 Pond Road. We will be offering Recycling Drop-off for the following items:

12/04/2020: Victorian Christmas Open House and Memory Tree at the Bowdoinham Nazarene Church has been postponed from this Saturday (5th) to Sunday, December 6th, from 1-6pm (weather and electricity permitting). We will also be posting pictures on our FB page, in addition to giving people an opportunity to have someone's name added to Memory Tree without having to come in person. Our prayers for many Christmas blessings are with you!
