Joy Joanne | Select Board

Joanne Joy has lived at the corner of Main Street and Post Road here in Bowdoinham since the spring of 2001. She was not sure that she was qualified to join the Comprehensive Planning Committee in 2011, but was assured her input and participation would be appreciated.  She continued with that committee as chair and participated on the Housing Action Subcommittee as well. She provided the updates and articles about the Comprehensive Plan in the Bowdoinham Newsletter. She recently retired from a career in public health.

Joanne is a native Mainer, growing up on a family farm in Bucksport with eight siblings.  She lives with her wife, Pam, and has three adult children, three grandchildren, and a cockapoo named Sophie that you may see her walking around town.
