The Bowdoinham Farmers’ Market opens Saturday, June 7! We’ll be at the Mailly Waterfront Park every Saturday 8:30-12:00 until October 11. It’s a great excuse to enjoy Saturday mornings in the park with your neighbors. Down at the park you’ll find fresh baked bread, crisp organic veggies, grass-fed meat, milk and cheese, tasty snacks, beautiful flowers, fresh fruit, blacksmithing, woodwork, lotions, soaps, and more! Other fun events gravitate to the market as well; stories, live music, line dancing… Check the Facebook page or Email [email protected] to get on our mailing list and hear about the hot items coming to market.
While Bowdoinham has a great summer market, the farmers in town are using the excellent soil in town to deliver luscious produce year-round all over the state. You can bring home the seasonal specialties from the fields in town and support your farming neighbor in many local markets, CSAs and a huge number of restaurants and natural food stores. Take a look at the menu and chances are you’ll see a Bowdoinham farm. Supporting the places that offer local food keeps dollars in the community where they bounce around to other local businesses.
