MORE INFORMATION
Merrymeeting Trail Bike Rides Kennebec Estuary Land Trust (KELT) invites you to participate in a group bike tour through parts of Bowdoinham and Richmond along the interim on-road route of the Merrymeeting Trail. Meet at Mailly waterfront park at 1PM. This beautiful route passes through some of the richest farmland in the state along the shores of Merrymeeting Bay. We'll see some of the same scenic areas in the region as can be seen from the rail line, where we hope to one day walk or ride with you along the off-road Merrymeeting Trail. The midpoint of the ride will be in Richmond, with the turnaround at Fort Richmond waterfront park. We'll stop frequently. Total distance is 18 mi, with a turn back option for a 10 mi route. The bike tour will be paced for beginner or intermediate riders.
NOTICE - Mailly Waterfront Park and lower Main Street will be closed to all unauthorized vehicular traffic on Thursday, September 14th for Celebrate Bowdoinham.
