Join us Sunday, July 27 for Open Farm & Studio Day—our annual celebration of Bowdoinham’s farming and creative community. Explore farms and studios, meet local makers, and cap the day with a Bowdoinham Food Pantry benefit BBQ and live music. 2025 Event Guide
Here’s what’s in store:
9 am—5 pm: Visit farms and studios for live demos, fresh food, tours, artisan goods, farm store treats, pop-up markets, and more.
4 pm—7 pm: Join us at Mailly Waterfront Park (1 Main St.) for a Food Pantry Benefit BBQ (4–6 PM) with fresh local eats and live music by Rough Sawn (4–7 PM)—playing acoustic folk, Americana, and classic country tunes.

NEW! DOWNING ARTS
25 Main Street
9 AM - 4 PM Nicholas Downing of Downing Arts will be set up outside of the Longbranch School and be doing live blacksmithing demonstrations as well as selling wares ranging from jewelry to household items to artisan tools.
1. CAMPO di FIORI

9 AM - 5 PM Explore Andrew's naturalistic gardens and nursery. Lynn Sternfels from Starrocks Design will be at the nursery with her unique hand-printed botanical scarves.
2. Six River Farmstand

9 AM - 12 PM Stop by our self-serve farm stand with fresh MOFGA-certified organic produce, seasonal berries, and cut flowers. Look for the open part of our gray barn.
3. Apple Creek Farm

10 AM - 3 PM Join us throughout the day for farmer-led, 60-minute tours that include visits with all the animals. Activities for children will include a barnyard tour, coloring, and an egg hunt. Our pop-up farm store will be open and in addition to our selection of eggs, beef, chicken, and specialty products; we'll have our entire inventory of sheepskins on sale at 15% off! We'll host a Makers Market too! Art and unique products from an array of Maine makers available for purchase including Just Playing with Glass, Loveline Baskets, and Turning Arts Studio. 3B Catering will serve delicious food cooked in their mobile, wood-fired oven.
4. Harvest Tide Organics

10 AM - 2 PM Harvest Tide Organics will have Upick Flowers, veggie tastings, and local food sampling to enjoy at our farm during open farm day. Tours of the vegetable fields, flowers, and tunnels available to those interested in the production of the farm's veggie crops.
5. Cathance River Gallery

10 AM - 4 PM Original paintings in various media, wood burl art, hand-made furniture, wood sculpture. All work by local artists and artisans.
6. Merrymeeting Arts Center

10 AM - 3 PM The pottery studio will be hosting wheel throwing demonstrations throughout the day.
7. East of Eden Flower Farm
2 Sadie Lane

11 AM - 2 PM Come walk through the flowers at this small hillside farm specializing in tulips, peonies and dahlias. You can also visit the Farmstand for fresh flowers, local eggs and vegetables along with Maine cheeses and snacks. To tour the farm, please park at Farmstand and follow signs to the flower fields across the road.
8. Watersong Music
9 Main Street, Cathance Place
12 PM - 4 PM Recording, performance and teaching music has become Earl’s happy occupation, and in his studio he is able to do all three. Come see where all the magic happens.
9. Stonecipher Farm

1 PM - 3 PM We will give slow moving tours, featuring no-till organic vegetable production.
10. Bowdoinham Food Pantry

1 PM - 6 PM We invite you to enjoy a self-guided tour of our Little Free Garden.

BBQ: 4pm - 6pm
Music: 4pm – 7pm
Enjoy a fitting close to the day by the beautiful Cathance River. Feast upon a Bowdoinham Food Pantry pulled chicken and pork benefit BBQ while listening to live music by Rough Sawn at the gazebo.
