Municipal Officers’ Notice of Public Hearing on Secret Ballot Referendum Question

Notice is hereby given that the Municipal Officers of the Town of Bowdoinham will hold a public hearing on September 23, 2025 at 6:00pm in the Kendall Meeting Room, John C. Coombs Municipal Building at 13 School Street in Bowdoinham to hear public comment on the following warrant question:

Shall the Town vote to authorize the Select Board to conduct winter maintenance for the 2025-2026 winter season on a 0.19-mile section of Pratt Road that is currently discontinued?

Explanation: At March 13, 1978 Annual Town Meeting, Article 46 discontinued the portion of Dingley Road (now known as Pratt Road) from the northern boundary of Map R03, Lot 52 to the southern boundary Map R04, Lot 017); a public easement remains.  Seven residents live on this approximately 0.19-mile section of (now) Pratt Road that is located north of Map R03, Lot 52. The Town has maintained this section of road since 2014 without voter approval.
