Sagadahoc County Commissioners Budget Advisory Committee District Caucuses notice

PUBLIC NOTICE

Sagadahoc County Commissioners hereby issue notice that 

the Budget Advisory Committee District Caucuses 

will be held at 5:00 p.m. on THURSDAY, FEBRUARY 5, 2026.

The Caucuses will be held in the Commissioners Meeting Room, 752 High Street, Bath, Maine.  Three (3) Municipal Officer positions are open (one in District 1, one in District 2, and one in District 3). The three municipal terms have expired. 

The Budget Advisory Committee is comprised of two municipal officers (selectpersons/councilors) and one public representative for each of the three County Districts.  Terms are for three years except for members elected to fill positions that have been vacated prior to term expiration.  Pursuant to Maine law, BAC positions may only be filled through nomination and election by the attending municipal officers from the appropriate District. 

*SNOW CANCELLATION:  In the event of cancellation due to inclement weather, attempts will be made to contact each municipal office and a notice of cancellation will be posted on the county website.  If cancellation occurs, the Caucuses will automatically be rescheduled for 5:00 p.m. on Monday, February 9, 2026.
