12/09/2021: As you may have noticed the Homestead and Veteran exemptions have been reduced on your tax bill.  Instead of receiving the full exemption amount, Bowdoinham can only offer 91% of the exemption amount.  The highest the Board of Assessors could declare for the Town’s FY2022 certified ratio was 91%. The certified ratio is determined by Maine Revenue Service through analysis of assessed values and sales data.
12/09/2021: As we get into the Fall please keep your culverts in mind! Clogged culverts can result in flooding or even a road collapse! Please do not shovel snow or deposit yard trimmings and other debris that would disrupt the flow of water or otherwise obstruct the way.
12/09/2021: The Bowdoinham News is published six times per year (January, March, May, July, September and November) by the Bowdoinham Department of Community and Economic Development. 12/09/2021: As you know, Carding Machine and Dingley Roads were contracted with All States Construction by the end of October, unfortunately due to uncooperative weather All States Construction was not able to pave Carding Machine Road.  We still have a contract with them to complete this project, which we expect to happen once the weather permits in 2022. We apologize for the inconvenience this delay has caused. We know this has been very discouraging for everyone and we thank you for your patience.
12/08/2021: Saturday December 11 from 11-2 at the Fire Station Girl Scout Troop 721 is hosting a lunch at the fire station to raise money for their trip to the Galápagos Islands in June.  Come warm up with a hot bowl of chili or soup, chat with your friends, enjoy some delicious holiday treats, and check out the crafts the girls have been working on.  Lunch is $7 and includes a choice of bread and beverage.

12/07/2021: Calendars are available to purchase at the Town Office, Merrymeeting Hall, Bowdoinham Country Store and Bowdoinham Guild of Artisans Holiday Sale for $10. The Calendar showcases the Bowdoinham Quilt 1912-2012 that was created by many wonderful volunteers.  This calendar was sponsored by the Town of Bowdoinham to promote Bowdoinham’s rich history and raise money for the rehabilitation of the Town Hall.
12/06/2021: Cemetery Advisory Committee meeting for 12/6/21 has been cancelled.
12/02/2021: Holiday Festival begins December 3rd, starting Friday evening when Santa comes to Town and joins the community for our annual tree lighting and carols at the Fire Station.  The Bowdoinham Guild of Artisans' Annual Show and Sale begins Friday evening at the Town Hall and runs through Sunday afternoon.  Check our Town Calendar for Holiday events all month long. View various homes as they decorate for the Holiday Lights Contest, enjoy a special holiday farmers market, craft fair and a cookie swap.

11/30/2021: The Town of Bowdoinham is currently seeking qualified applicants for the position of part-time Assistant Town Clerk/Assistant Tax Collector at the Town Office.  This position is for approximately 30 hours per week and will be responsible for collecting taxes and fees, issuing licenses, permits and motor vehicle registrations as well as other office duties.
