11/18/2021: The Citizen of the Year award is to recognize an individual that goes above and beyond for the people of the community of Bowdoinham. Bowdoinham’s Citizen of the Year is equally ready to lend a hand or lead the charge. Through many years of service to both the causes and citizens of Bowdoinham, they have never asked for, or sought, recognition.
11/18/2021: Holiday Giving Tree  The giving season is coming quickly and we have already started preparations here at the Town Office. There will be three businesses hosting our giving tree: Three Robbers Pub, Bowdoinham Country Store and the Bowdoinham Hardware Store.

11/16/2021:   The Town of Bowdoinham is soliciting bids for the removal of the Structure located at 84 Ridge Road, Bowdoinham Maine 04008 (Tax Map R02, Lot 001-A), as well as any debris, rubble, or trash remaining from the fire that destroyed the Structure. Proposals will be received by the Town at the Bowdoinham Town Office until 4:00 PM on November 29, 2021. Each proposal shall be submitted in a sealed envelope, clearly marked “Dangerous Building Cleanup RFP” and addressed as follows: Town of Bowdoinham Attn: Town Manager

10/27/2021: The deadline to request an absentee ballot without a reason for the November 2, 2021 Referendum Election is the close of business on Thursday, October 28, 2021.   After this deadline, voters may request an absentee ballot by completing and signing a Special Circumstances Application. (linked below)   On the Application the voter must indicate which of the four allowable reasons to request an absentee ballot after the deadline applies to them, as follows:

We are Hiring:

The Town of Bowdoinham is currently seeking qualified applicants for an on-call snowplow operator. The successful candidate must hold a valid Maine CDL license and be able to work long hours and be available during all winter storms. Previous plowing experience preferred. Successful applicant must pass pre-employment drug and alcohol testing.  Wages are negotiable based on qualifications.
