09/09/2021: We will be holding a Bulky waste day on October 2nd from 8:00 am to 2:00pm at the Public Works facility located at 121 Pond rd. The following items will be accepted on this day for a fee. Freon Collection $14/item regardless of size (Fridge, Dehumidifier, A/C, etc.) Box spring/Mattress each piece: Twin $5.00 Full $7.00 Queen $8.00 King $10.00
09/07/2021: On Saturday, September 11th, 2021: -The Skatepark will be closed for the Zucchini Races! -Mailly Waterfront Park and lower Main Street (next to the pub and Lodge Building) will be closed to all unauthorized vehicular traffic. -The parade route will be closed 10am to 11am: Fire Station (Post Rd) to Main St; down Main St to River Rd; then River Rd to Ridge Rd to Cemetery Rd to Center St; back to Fire Station.
09/07/2021: The Town is looking to hire a design consultant to design the Town’s recycling facility within the existing Recycling Barn. The Town’s goal is to have a Town’s recycling program and facility that is safe, secure, and meets ADA, life safety, building code and operational requirements.
08/30/2021: Municipal Election Nomination Papers Due Friday, September 3rd by 4pm!
08/19/2021: The Bowdoinham Community Development Initiative (BCDI) has launched a new website for linking farmland owners and aspiring farmers in the town of Bowdoinham. The website is part of a larger Farmland Inventory Project aiming to help map the availability of farmland in town (current use, use restrictions, etc.) and identify and support landowners interested in making their land available for farming.
08/17/2021: The Town has received a notice from MDOT that bridge work on the Brooklyn Bridge over the Cathance River will begin on 8/26/202. State Route 24 will be reduced to one lane of alternating traffic using temporary traffic lights for approximately 5 weeks. Vertical clearance will be reduced to 13'.6".
