02/16/2021: At a meeting on Tuesday evening, February 16, the Bowdoinham Select Board voted unanimously to hire Nicole Briand as the town’s next Town Manager. Briand, who has served as Bowdoinham’s Director of Planning & Development for 10 years, has served as Interim Town Manager since August 2020.

02/10/2021: The Maine Community Foundation’s Richard Ferrier Scholarship: offers financial assistance to Bowdoinham residents between the ages of 13 and 18 as of June 1, 2021, to pursue their artistic, academic, athletic and vocational or life’s passion outside of the traditional school environment. Eligible applicants must be residents of Bowdoinham who clearly demonstrate a need for financial assistance. Preference is for applicants who have resided in Bowdoinham for at least one year. Awards are not retroactive; the student’s program must start after June 1 of the application year.
02/08/2021: We are very excited to bring you The Ice & Smelt Festival this year! This year Ice & Smelt is going to be a week-long Festival, February 15th-20th. We have events that are going to be located throughout town, with the goal of getting you and your family outside for a safe winter festival! We are excited to offer programs sponsored by the Merrymeeting Arts Center, Bowdoinham Public Library, and the Recreation Department!  
02/01/2021: The Town Office and Recycling will be closed on Tuesday, February 2nd, due to the winter storm.  The Solar Project meeting is still planned as scheduled for 6:30pm via zoom. Be safe!
01/25/2021: Watercraft storage rack spaces are now available for the 2021 boating season!
01/13/2021: Due to the high demand for recycling, new hours have been added! Now open Tuesdays Noon to 6:00pm! Don't forget: due to the current shared location with Public Works,  recycling operations will be suspended while snow plows are out. 01/06/2021: Hello fellow neighbors, Winter is coming, and snowmobile season is almost here!     Bowdoinham is lucky to have an extensive trail system thanks to the many landowners in Bowdoinham, Bowdoin, and Richmond that have granted us access to over 40 miles of recreational snowmobile trails for use throughout the winter months.  Not only do these trails allow us to travel throughout our community, but they are also interconnected with other trail systems that expand into many towns all over the state.

The Town of Bowdoinham is currently seeking qualified applicants for the part-time position of administrative assistant at the Town Office. This position is for 20-25 hours per week and primary duties include motor vehicle registration, collection of property taxes and providing clerical assistance to the Town Manager.
